Medical Surgical Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical for a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult medical and post-surgical patients in a fast-paced acute care setting. Candidates must have strong clinical assessment skills, experience with medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and telemetry monitoring while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for medical and post-surgical patients. Administer medications, IV therapies, wound care, catheter insertion, and other nursing interventions safely and accurately. Monitor vital signs, telemetry, and patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the healthcare team. Provide post-operative care, patient education, and discharge planning to promote optimal recovery. Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems and ensure compliance with nursing standards and hospital policies. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care. Qualifications Active New York State RN License required. AHA BLS certification required ( AHA ACLS may be required for specific units). Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital (within the last year). Strong skills in physical assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, infection control, post-operative care, patient education, and telemetry monitoring . Epic EMR experience preferred. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher from an accredited nursing program.
