Anesthesiology Physician

Practice Info Based in Raleigh, NC, at UNC REX Hospital Part of UNC REX Healthcare, which includes an acute care hospital, emergency care, urgent care centers, wound healing, five wellness centers, and two skilled nursing facilities Facility has treatment centers dedicated to surgical services; women’s care; pain management; sleep disorders; neurology; and cancer, heart, and vascular care Anesthesiologists and anesthetists work in an anesthesia care team approach Responsibilities Handle case assignments including Cardiac, pediatrics, OBGYN, general, plastics, urology, and vascular Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment Obtain and/or verify patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform clinical intervention as needed Compensation Salary: $425,000 Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $30,000 Sign on Incentive: $30,000 sign-on bonus Benefits ~ Generous paid time off ~ Generous benefits package, including: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance ~ Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts ~401(k) ~ Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage ~ Leadership and professional development opportunities Shift & Schedule ~ Non-Call Requirements M.D./D.O.
