Operations Specialist - Mutual Funds Services

Position Summary At BBH, partnership is more than a form of ownership – it’s our approach to business and relationships. The Operations Intermediate Specialist performs high-level specialized operational investment fund activities to support the firm’s business lines. The role is a subject‑matter specialist who handles moderately complex issues, including fund account document review and execution, order placement and settlements, communication with fund companies, processing and recording, reporting and acknowledgement, and reconciliation. Responsibilities Securities Processing: process transactions, verify information, manage daily volume, perform intraday and end‑of‑day reconciliation, and ensure all deadlines and requirements are met. Client Service: provide superior client service, respond promptly to internal and external requests, and follow up on open transactions and inquiries. Risk Management: identify and document errors to reduce exposure, collaborate with other BBH departments to resolve issues, and manage associated fund account projects. Assist in defining procedures and controls. Processing: prepare and execute required fund documentation, investigate and respond to inquiries related to fund account openings, correctly reflect fund accounts on BBH systems, and maintain and review daily department reports on mutual fund account openings. Qualifications BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience. 1–2 years of Global Custody experience. Proven knowledge of one or more product areas within Operations and their processes. High level of competence in performing technical responsibilities, with aptitude for thorough and timely research, analysis, and problem resolution. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task, juggle assignments, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. Team‑player ability and proactive, detail‑oriented, goal‑oriented mindset. Salary & Benefits Salary Range – Jersey City: $50,000 – $60,000 salary + annual performance bonus. BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit‑sharing.
