Ready for new adventures?  Do you enjoy helping others reach for the stars?  Then we are looking for you!  Compass, Inc. is a progressive, non-profit agency supporting individuals with disabilities.  We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic persons for part- time and PRN Counselor positions to work with and support individuals with developmental disabilities in Charles County.  Duties include assisting with activities of daily living as well as planning and supporting people to live a good life and follow their dreams.   If this sounds like something you would enjoy doing, then this may be the perfect part-time weekend position for you!

Location:  Waldorf, MD

Different shifts available as follows :

Shifts: Mon-Fri 8a-3pm or 3p-8pm, / Sat. Sun. 11pm- 7am and PRN support

Compensation: $24/hour to start.  Benefits may include vision and dental insurance depending on average hours per week and 401(K) with generous employer match.  Paid training.  We also provide free meals while on duty and mileage reimbursement if you use your own vehicle.

• Ability to exercise a lot of patience
• Basic computer skills for documenting daily reports

 
Qualifications: High school diploma. Prior experience preferred but not necessary.  The ideal candidate will possess an enthusiasm for working with individuals with unique challenges and have a keen interest in advancing their quality of life.   If that is you, we will provide training!   Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record and ability to drive company vehicle to transport individuals to community activities.  CPR/First Aid certification required or must be obtained prior to starting.  All new hires will attend a paid two-day orientation and must complete a comprehensive curriculum of paid online training classes prior to orientation. Our next orientation is 9/3 and 9/4 8:30am - 4:30pm.
