MRI Technologist

The MRI Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. They will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed. The technologist will help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. Flexibility is essential, as they may work other shifts or at different campuses as needed. The technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance. They will participate in quality assurance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Participation in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within the scope of licensure is expected. The incumbent must be able to provide basic MRI screening of patients and employees. They will prepare maintenance and repairs and resolve issues related to MRI safety. The technologist will adhere to and maintain the expected imaging competencies outlined by management. Responsibilities:

• Provides meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians to promote exceptional physician satisfaction.
• Performs all duties while protecting the confidentiality of patients.
• Adapts assigned patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient.
• Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Performs examinations and procedures to assist in patient throughput.
• Demonstrates flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses as needed.
• Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly.
• Follows downtime procedures as a PACS superuser and escalates issues to the PACS administrator or designee if needed.
• Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager or Biomedical personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
