About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Current IL License Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Extensive Cardiac experience Description: We are seeking an experienced RN for various units including Medical Surgical and Cardiac Telemetry. Candidates must have ICU experience and be willing to float to Medical Surgical if needed. Extensive Cardiac experience is required. The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Employs critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and escalates issues to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage may be required.
