Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in the operating room with Level 1 Trauma experience. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Strong scrub and circulate skills in orthopedic, trauma, vascular, and neurological surgeries. Description: Position for a registered nurse in the operating room. The shift is 5 days per week from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. There is no block scheduling available. Call requirements include one shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday, with hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No weekday call is required. Weekend requirement is every other weekend, equating to 2 weekends per month. Request time off is limited to 5 days maximum, with no more than 2 consecutive days. No time off is allowed on holidays or the weekend before or after a holiday. The clinician is required to float to meet facility needs, as floating is a standard practice. All resources are expected to float at the facility's discretion. Traveling staff may be notified of a float assignment up to 2 hours prior to the start of their shift. Refusal to float may result in cancellation of the assignment. Two professional references are required prior to starting the position. References must be from the most recent employers, with one reference from the most recent employer. Strong scrub and circulating experience is essential for this role. Completion of lab work must be done within 72 hours of accepting the assignment. Modules must be completed pre-start, and any modules completed while on assignment will be billable. All time off requests must comply with the stated policy.
