Sr. Automation Engineer

• Plan and guide engineering teams to achieve quality, productivity, and operational-efficiency goals.

• Mentor and potentially lead engineering team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
\n
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable manufacturing processes and systems.
\n
• Troubleshoot, repair, improve, and provide hands-on technical support for automated equipment.
\n
• Perform and document engineering studies and evaluations.
\n
• Analyze data to drive improvements, prioritize initiatives, and identify opportunities.
\n
• Lead and mentor root-cause and corrective-action activities.
\n
• Assess, deliver, and schedule technical training covering electromechanical systems, pneumatics, servos, PLCs, schematic interpretation, and new technologies.
\n
• Champion high-visibility projects and develop project scopes, timelines, savings estimates, and cost estimates.
\n
• Quote new automation lines and engineering services and develop automation design concepts.
\n
• Prepare validation documents, user requirements, equipment specifications, and other engineering documentation.
\n
• Build relationships with customers and automation suppliers.
\n
• Provide engineering support to optimize plant machinery, equipment, and processes.
\n
• Promote and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
\n
• Research new technologies and methodologies for plant applications.
\n
• Support quality, safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
\n

• Manufacturing processes, workflows, production equipment, and industrial techniques.
\n
• Electromechanical systems, pneumatics, servos, PLCs, and schematic interpretation.
\n
• Engineering studies, data analysis, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
\n
• Project scoping, scheduling, budgeting, savings estimation, and execution.
\n
• Automation-line quoting and design-concept development.
\n
• Validation, user requirements, and equipment-specification documentation.
\n
• Cross-functional leadership, mentoring, training, and supplier relationship management.
\n
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
\n
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
\n
• CAD and SAP experience preferred.
\n
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
\n
• Manufacturing supervisory or managerial experience.
\n

Education Requirements:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Science field required.
\n
• Master’s degree in Engineering or a Science field preferred.
\n
• Minimum five to eight years of experience required.
\n
• At least two years of managerial or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
