Director, Supply Chain Management

Job Number: 179333, Title: Director, Supply Chain Management. Job Summary Director of Supply Chain Management (SCM) provides leadership for materials management; implements, monitors, and assures an integrated and coordinated supply chain management program based on the operational needs of the assigned pavilion within the Harris Health System. Plans, directs, organizes, and coordinates purchasing, inventory management, and supply distribution. Oversees the SCM department including financial, operational, and strategic management. Develops and implements cost of service and use reduction strategies related to technology assessment, planning and management activities for the Harris Health System; provides direct oversight of supply management and guidance to the entire pavilion. Responsible for planning, staffing, and effective and efficient utilization of system resources to better serve patient satisfaction of services rendered. Minimum Qualifications Education: BA/BS in Business Administration with emphasis on Supply Chain Management or related fields required; Master's degree preferred; CMRP or CSCP certification highly preferred. Work experience: At least 7 years in Supply Chain Management, with at least 4 years in the acute healthcare sector. Management experience: At least 5 years of management or supervisory experience in Supply Chain, Healthcare or Business Management. Equipment operated: Personal computer, calculator, fax, copier. Special Requirements Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact); Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking); Writing/Composing: Reports.
