Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team. The position is located in Montrose, CO at a hospital facility. The CST will function as an instrument technician, coordinating and assembling appropriate instrumentation for each case, passing instruments and medications, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon. The role follows AORN/AST standards and works under the supervision of the OR Clinical Coordinator, Director of Surgical Services, or RN (Circulator).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified Surgical Technologist in a surgical environment, including experience with GYN, Urology, and Orthopedic cases.
• Robotics experience preferred.
• Certified/licensed in Colorado, or willingness to obtain Colorado certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience across a variety of case types and independent scrub technician skills.
• Familiarity with AORN/AST standards and perioperative processes.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 06:45-17:15.
• Call one weekend per month. No weekend staffing requirement otherwise.
• Holiday coverage required.
