Summer Systems and Infrastructure Modernization Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated student with an interest in technology to assist with summer IT tasks, including setting up computers, maintaining Chromebooks, and supporting the school's technology team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT support, hardware setup, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of Chromebooks, desktops, and other school devices.
Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on Chromebooks, including software updates and hardware replacements (keyboards, screens, batteries, etc.).
Organize, inventory, and manage school-issued devices and accessories.
Install and configure software and operating system updates.
Assist in maintaining network cables, printers, and classroom technology setups.
Document common issues and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Qualifications & Skills:

Interest in technology, computers, or IT support.
Basic knowledge of Chromebooks, Windows/Mac operating systems, and Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, etc.).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to learn new technical skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

Previous experience with Chromebook repairs or computer setup.
Familiarity with troubleshooting Wi-Fi and basic network issues.
Experience with IT inventory management.
