RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Float between PCU and Medical/Surgical units with potential to float 2-3 times per shift (every 4 hours as staffing needs are re-evaluated)
• Patient ratios: PCU average 5:1, MS average 6:1 (may flex up to 7:1)
• Weekend requirement: Either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must be experienced in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Skilled in central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway support including nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, and chest tubes
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, titrating cardiac drips, and responding to emergencies
• Capable of managing PCA and heparin protocols, administering IV insulin, and handling endocrine/metabolic conditions
• Background in telemetry and stepdown-level care with cardiovascular experience in pre/post cardiac cath settings required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work with interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams

This is a 703-bed acute care teaching hospital and flagship facility that serves as the region's only Level I Trauma Center for both adults and pediatrics. The facility is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence and affiliated with a medical school. The hospital features advanced specialty care, a dedicated children's hospital, and is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, providing comprehensive medical services to the community.
