Full-Time Custodian

Compensation & Schedule Pay Range: $15.00–$16.50 per hour (based on qualifications and experience) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Occasional earlier start times or schedule adjustments to support events Benefits 50 North offers a supportive work environment and a competitive benefits package, including: Health insurance (medical coverage) and paid vacation Consistent full-time schedule promoting work-life balance Opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization serving the local community Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of offices, restrooms, activity rooms, and common areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces Clean and restock restrooms and replenish supplies Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and equipment for programs and events Maintain outdoor areas, including entrances, sidewalks, and porches Perform light laundry duties as needed Assist with snow removal and apply salt or ice melt during winter conditions Respond to custodial and facility setup requests in a timely manner Report maintenance, safety, or repair concerns to appropriate personnel Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior custodial, housekeeping, or maintenance experience preferred but not required Willing to train qualified candidates Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Positive attitude and commitment to service excellence Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends for special events Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity. Employees must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, and reach frequently Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Move and arrange furniture and equipment Use stairs regularly and occasionally climb ladders Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Operate custodial equipment safely Perform repetitive movements involving hands, arms, and shoulders Apply Today 50 North fosters a collaborative, supportive, and community-focused workplace.
