As a Mechanic Intermediate, you'll work across a wide range of fixed and rotating equipmenteverything from natural gas engines and compressors to pumps, generators, valves, and well-site systems. You'll take the lead on servicing, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and structural equipment, including conducting performance analyses and emissions testing. Your day may include interpreting technical diagrams, maintaining detailed maintenance records, securing parts and supplies, and ensuring company vehicles are ready for the road. Some responsibilities may involve DOT-covered pipeline operations, requiring quick thinking and immediate response to hazardous conditions.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident with tools and equipment, comfortable working in confined spaces, and skilled at fine-tuning machinery. This position includes a $1,500 monthly geographic allowance in addition to the base pay.

Job Profile Summary

Performs activities related to mechanical work on equipment at compressor, pipeline, storage, gathering, fractionation and/or gas processing facilities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work on fixed and rotating equipment at various locations including, but not limited to:
• Internal combustion, diesel, natural gas powered engines and electrical drivers
• Compressors, pumps, generators, turbines, valves, electrical equipment, and well equipment
• Service, troubleshoot, maintain, install and repair structural, mechanical, electrical and/or well equipment. Conduct performance analyses, including emissions testing
• Order and/or secure parts and supplies
• Maintain, prepare and/or interpret reports and/or records including, but not limited to:
• Work logs and service orders
• Inspection reports
• Engine/equipment maintenance and repair records
• Pressure readings
• Material and supply orders
• Engine and compressor oil analysis reports
• Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles
• Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.
