Role Description The Mammography Technologist is a full-time, on-site role based at Aurora West Allis Medical Center in West Allis, WI. This role is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols, regulatory standards, and best practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating mammography equipment, ensuring accurate imaging, and maintaining strict radiation safety procedures. The technologist collaborates closely with radiologists and care teams to support timely interpretation of images, communicates clearly and compassionately with patients, and documents procedures and patient information in the medical record. Additional duties include equipment quality control checks, adherence to quality assurance and compliance requirements, and contributing to a safe, respectful, and patient-focused environment. Qualifications Professional certification and registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiologic Technology and, preferably, Mammography. Strong foundation in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, with experience performing mammography imaging in a clinical or hospital setting. Demonstrated knowledge of Radiation Safety principles and practices, including patient and staff protection, proper equipment use, and regulatory compliance. Understanding of core concepts in Medicine relevant to breast imaging, including anatomy, pathology, and diagnostic workflows. Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program; associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences or related field preferred. Current state licensure (as applicable) and ability to meet all regulatory and compliance requirements for mammography technologists. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients through potentially sensitive and stressful procedures. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to follow protocols while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
