Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team in Chattanooga, TN at a facility known for its compassionate patient care. We are seeking dedicated individuals to be a part of our medical unit with a focus on teamwork and effective communication.

Unit Information

• Unit Name: 4 East
• Number of Beds: 30
• Patient Ratios: 1:6

Staffing and Support

The unit is supported by:

• Clinical Coordinators
• Unit Secretary
• Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• Case Management

Equipment

Key equipment utilized in the unit includes:

• Walkers
• IV Pumps
• Sequential Compression Devices (SCDs)

Documentation

The unit utilizes a Meditech documentation system for effective record-keeping.

Scheduling Requirements

• Four weekend shifts per 28-day schedule
• Participation in holiday rotation

Floating Policy

Staff members will float within the unit's rotation as needed.

Patient Experience Goals

Aiming for a patient experience score of 72% through the implementation of effective communication strategies.

Desired Qualifications

• Required Skill Set: RN License
• Essential Skills: Teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills
• Advanced Skills: Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, specifically with respiratory diseases, renal diseases, GI illnesses, telemetry, central venous catheters, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Dress Code

Required uniform: Navy Blue Scrubs
