Overview: Working as a part-time Industrial Services Tool Repair Technician, you will be involved with the overall success of the department by efficiently repairing and quoting a wide range of power tools, including electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic. You will be working on a variety of tool manufacturers, including most major national brands. Having a customer focus and attention to detail in a very fast paced and productive department is necessary to be successful in this position. Some travel may be necessary to complete manufacturer-authorized training. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Processing customer power tool repair work orders
• Quoting repair costs on a wide variety of power tools
• Repairing a wide variety of power tools in a timely manner
• Communicating with Fastenal branches and vendors
• Following all International Standardization Organization (ISO) quality procedures
• Complying with safety regulations

Required Position Qualifications: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

• Proficient computer skills
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Mechanically inclined
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Willingness to travel for trainings and customer visits

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
