Job Posting: Trinity Episcopal Parish, Crystal Lake - Musician

Trinity Episcopal Parish seeks a musician to lead us as we gather each week to worship and praise God at our Crystal Lake (St. Mary’s) Campus. Experience on the organ and directing choirs is preferred but strong consideration will be given to those with less experience who have demonstrated skill on the piano and/or organ and are willing to learn.

Candidates should be comfortable with a range of musical genres and have an appreciation of the breadth and depth of the Anglican musical tradition.

Trinity Episcopal Parish is a parish with two campuses: Woodstock (St. Ann’s) and Crystal Lake (St. Mary’s). The campuses share worship about 4 Sundays a year, plus special services (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, services of Taizé, and 2 services of Evensong or Lessons & Carols each year). The Musician has right of first refusal on weddings/funerals at the Crystal Lake campus.

The Musician reports to the Rector of Trinity Episcopal Parish.

This is a quarter-time position. Responsibilities will include:

1. Playing for Sunday morning services with a pre-service warm-up rehearsal

2. Leading or accompanying weekly choir rehearsals from September - May

3. Participating in occasional combined services/rehearsals with the other campus

4. Occasional meetings with the Rector and Woodstock Music Director

Pay: $15,000.00 - $20,000.00 per year
