Chief Nursing Officer Opportunity
Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed acute care psychiatric hospital located in Dover, Delaware. The hospital offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.
Responsibilities
The Chief Nursing Officer is a key member of the Dover BH Leadership Team, integrating and coordinating a patient‑centric nursing strategy focused on delivering high-quality, cost‑effective care in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, values, and regulatory requirements. The CNO participates in strategic planning and drives achievement of institutional goals.

Qualifications
- Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Delaware.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited program; Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
- Extensive knowledge of nursing and patient care principles and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices; highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience.
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership that contributes to a positive work environment.
