Job Summary and Responsibilities To thrive in this role, you’ll heavily depend on your ability to multitask and react. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care while ensuring patient comfort Anticipate, identify, and respond to informational and emotional needs of patients and families Guide and direct healthcare personnel (i.e., CNAs) in caring for patients Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use (i.e., IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices) Utilize safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms with necessary checks Initiate emergency support measures (i.e., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury) Assist with patient care duties/tasks (i.e., emptying drainage devices, ambulating, and hygiene) Medical Surgical Oncology CHI Health St. Elizabeth is a 42‑bed Med/Surg unit. We care for diverse populations and diagnoses including Orthopedic, Trauma, Spine and Neuro surgery, Surgical and Medical Oncology, pulmonary, renal, GI, and cardiac care. We have a rapidly growing oncology program and are committed to providing highly skilled care using the ONS curriculum and standards of practice. In addition, we provide post‑surgical care with a focus on pain management, early mobilization, and patient and family‑centered education promoting excellent outcomes. Our care model emphasizes multidisciplinary teams for our patients including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietary, Nutrition, Palliative Care, and innovative nursing models to include LPN, C.N.A and RN teams. Compensation Base rate + shift differential Incentives: up to $15,000 sign on bonus, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years) Tuition Reimbursement – $5,525 for full time and $2,750 for part time Nurse Residency offered for all New Graduates Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state Graduate of an accredited nursing program Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) required Specialty certification (ex: PCCN, CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas Pay Range $36.00 - $52.20 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
