We are proud to offer a workplace where talented professionals can grow, collaborate, and make a meaningful difference for the clients and communities we serve.Smoker & Company LLC is seeking an experienced Tax Attorney with approximately 3–5+ years of relevant experience to advise individuals, closely held businesses, and business owners on a variety of federal, state, and local income tax matters, including tax planning, compliance, controversy matters, and related tax issues. This role focuses on planning, compliance support, legal research, notices, audits, appeals, collections, and other tax controversy matters, with particular emphasis on pass-through entities, including S-Corporations and LLCs.The Tax Attorney will work closely with internal accounting, tax preparation, advisory, and leadership teams to provide practical legal guidance, identify tax risks and opportunities, and help clients navigate complex tax issues with confidence. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented legal professional with strong tax technical knowledge, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and a client-service mindset.
