About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Lending Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading sales and lending efforts across commercial, specialty, and consumer lending, as well as maintaining the existing loan portfolio and meeting production targets. This role involves nurturing the current referral base, developing new channels, and ensuring a friendly and welcoming experience for customers. The Chief Lending Officer will also provide leadership and coaching to all lenders, manage the lending team, and oversee the lending pipeline, including loan requests and delinquency. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with the CEO and senior management, participation in CRA activities, and a focus on asset quality and problem-solving. Applicants for the Chief Lending Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance, with a Master of Business Administration preferred. A minimum of 10 years' commercial banking experience, with at least 5 years in commercial credit review or commercial credit, is required. Direct lending and lending/sales management experience, as well as a background in consumer lending, are ideal. The role demands a candidate with demonstrated leadership ability, excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in the Windows Office Suite. The Chief Lending Officer will be expected to have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
