Company Description BSV CPAs and Wealth Advisors is a team of certified public accountants and financial professionals serving individuals, families, and small businesses from offices in Chambersburg, PA and the Greater Roanoke, VA area. The firm provides customized tax, accounting, and financial planning strategies tailored to each client’s goals and circumstances. Securities are offered through Cetera Wealth Services LLC and investment advisory services through Cetera Investment Advisors LLC, which are under separate ownership from BSV CPAs and Wealth Advisors. The firm emphasizes regulatory compliance, client privacy, and secure communication, with personal and account updates handled only in person or by phone. Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, role based in the Greater Roanoke Area, with a hybrid work option after 1 year. This role involves reviewing financial statements, preparing individual and business tax returns, and overseeing general ledger activities. The Senior Accountant will research and apply tax regulations, assist with tax planning strategies, and support small business clients with accounting and advisory services. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising junior staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables, collaborating with advisors on integrated financial solutions, and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients. The role also includes participating in process improvements and contributing to the firm’s quality and compliance standards. Qualifications Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management and reconciliation experience. Advanced tax knowledge with experience in individual, partnership, and corporate tax return preparation and tax planning. Proficiency with accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, professional tax platforms) and solid Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills to explain complex financial and tax concepts to clients and team members. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing multiple deadlines and client engagements. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred; bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
