Inventory Control And Quality Assurance Leader

In this role, you will lead inventory control, receiving, and quality assurance within the distribution center to ensure accurate inventory and efficient product flow. You will manage the inventory and receiving teams, coordinate WMS configuration, and drive compliance and continuous improvement. You'll work with cross-functional partners to align objectives with leadership and safety standards. This is a hands-on leadership position that shapes inventory accuracy and processes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, inventory control, and quality assurance to maintain accuracy and efficiency
• Supervise cycle counting programs and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate WMS configurations, including location setups and item master data
• Lead and develop team members, including training and performance management
• Partner with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and engagement initiatives
• Set and execute departmental goals aligned with leadership
• Ensure compliance with policies and standards; promote workplace safety
• Coordinate equipment training and certify safe operation practices
• Conduct operational audits and provide actionable recommendations
• Investigate variances and conduct physical walkthroughs to locate discrepancies
• Coordinate slotting and storage optimization to improve flow
• Serve as primary support resource for RF systems, terminals, and warehouse technology
• Collaborate on system improvements and operational initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance accuracy and performance

Key requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent
• 7-12 months in inventory control or warehouse operations
• 4-6 months coordinating work or supporting team leadership
• Strong understanding of inventory control and material flow
• Ability to interpret and enforce policies and standards
• Experience with WMS and related technologies
• Ability to manage inventory systems, counts, and storage optimization
• Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Data analysis to identify trends and improve performance
• Experience coordinating workflows, schedules, and resources
• Strong cross-functional communication
• Ability to lead team development and performance management
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance
• Adaptability to changing priorities and continuous improvement initiatives
