Staff Accountant

PrideStaff Financial has partnered with our Frisco based client in search of a dynamic Accountant to join their growing team.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of progressive, full cycle accounting experience and be looking for a long-term career path to leadership.

Located in Frisco by The Star, this opportunity is just minutes from dining, entertainment and shopping.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for reviewing accounting transactions, researching and implementing relevant accounting technical standards.
• Preparation of annual audit and quarterly review request from external auditors
• Assist with the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly and annual fiscal closings
• Assist in production of financial information for ad hoc requests
• Support the month/quarter/year-end close processes and the preparation of the monthly and quarterly internal management reports and related financial statement analytics.
• Contribute to business process improvement projects and collaborate extensively with other departments
• Additional ad hoc projects will be assigned

Position Requirements & Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Current knowledge of GAAP
• Understanding of financial controls and financial reporting.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven success in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, results-driven organization.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
