Welcome to August The Mansion, a historic and iconic dining destination nestled in the heart of O'Fallon, Illinois. Steeped in rich history with roots dating back to 1857 when it was built as a family farmhouse by August Wastfield, our establishment is not just a restaurant; it's a living testament to the rich history of our town, recognized as a cherished historical landmark by both the city and county. Under new ownership and after over three years of extensive renovation, we are gearing up for a grand reopening in March 2024. As we embark on this exciting chapter, we're seeking passionate individuals to join our team and be a part of something truly special where we offer a casual upscale dining experience serving New American cuisine.
Job Summary: As a Bartender for August The Mansion you will be helping to create exceptional experiences for our customers during their visit with us by serving all customers at the bar, creating drinks for the dining service areas, and resolving customer issues when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Take orders from bar customers for food and beverages.
Produce the needed beverages for the dining service areas.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the bar.
Keep an accurate spill through the shift.
Collect customer payments and provide change in a timely and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a bartender
General knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beer
Ability to effectively listen to and respond to customer needs.
Must have a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor.
Ability to multitask efficiently.
Food Handler certification, or willingness to obtain
BASSET License, or willingness to obtain
