Overview Respiratory Therapist | Respiratory Therapy Templeton, California, United States Start date: May 25, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $1,437–$1,507 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 Shift: 3x12s Days (0630–1900), rotating weekends Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,437–$1,507 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12s days, 0630–1900 with rotating weekends Start date: May 25, 2026 Setting: Short-term acute care hospital Responsibilities Provide and manage respiratory care for adult and neonatal patients, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation, airway management, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and oxygen therapy per physician orders. Monitor patient status, interpret ABGs and ventilator parameters, adjust settings as prescribed, and document findings accurately in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapy colleagues; participate in daily rounds and care planning to optimize patient outcomes. Support NICU and delivery-area care, including assisting with NICU respiratory care needs, setting up BCPAP, and providing neonatal respiratory support as part of the multidisciplinary team. Respond to changes in patient condition, assist with emergent events per protocol, and ensure patient safety, isolation procedures, and equipment maintenance. Maintain required certifications (NRP, ACLS, BLS, PALS) and participate in ongoing training and competency checks; ensure proper equipment cleaning and infection control practices. Requirements Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience required; NICU exposure in delivery settings preferred. At least 2 years of critical care experience, including involvement with deliveries and neonatal respiratory support. Certifications required: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Ability to manage ventilator and noninvasive support, including setting up and monitoring BCPAP as prescribed. Availability for day shifts (0630–1900), 3x12s, with rotating weekends; able to work in a fast-paced acute care environment. Eligible to work in the United States and perform duties in a hospital setting (no remote work).
