Job Description Wage : $DOE Shift : Full time. Possibility of overtime. Mon‑Fri, 8am‑5pm, may include occasional Saturday or evening shifts. You will enrich lives, develop lifelong skills, and grow professionally here. We would love you to be on our team! Responsibilities Utilize fabrication and shop skills while building exhibits. Follow all safety protocols and standards. Participate in regular training and on‑the‑job skill development. Be involved in exhibit development and projects. Maintain, repair, clean, and safely utilize shop tools. Thoughtfully promote a love of inquiry and discovery by creating safe, inclusive, and fun opportunities for transformative experiences through high‑quality, intentional craftsmanship and intelligent, human‑centered, universal design. Work with shop machinery, tinker, and create. Have an aptitude for how mechanics work. Collaborate with other departments. Exemplify Thanksgiving Point’s mission, values, and policies. Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor. Requirements Know, understand, and have experience with best practices in exhibit fabrication, shop machines and equipment, materials, engineering, and safety protocols. Knowledge of how to use power tools such as table and band saws, sanders and routers. Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills. Strong ability to problem solve with multiple shop tools, using basic physics, mechanics, engineering. Willing to learn, respectful, welcoming, reliable, flexible and collaborative.
