Job Description
The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts and performing collection activities to support timely cash collection and healthy accounts receivable balances. This role works independently to resolve past-due accounts, investigate payment discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure prompt resolution of outstanding balances.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
· 3–5 years of collections, accounts receivable, or credit and collections experience.
· Experience working with accounting systems, preferably QuickBooks or similar ERP/accounting software.
· Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, invoice reconciliation, and payment application.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally manage difficult conversations.
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
