Food Service Substitute
Position: Food Service Substitute Location: District-Wide Hours: 3-7 hours per day as needed Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and serving food (may include cooking and baking).
- Assisting with cleaning the kitchen, serving, and eating areas.
- Maintaining all applicable health and sanitation standards.
- Operating a Computerized Accountability System.
- Attending staff training as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) is required if offered the position. ServSafe certification is preferred.
- Experience: Prior successful school Food Service experience is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Evidence of ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, stand for periods of time as long as 6+ hours on a cement/tile kitchen floor, work in a potentially hot and humid environment.
- Good math skills are a must.
- Knowledge of weight scales and sanitation is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow a recipe.
- Must be willing to learn and run a Computerized Accountability System.
- Excellent team worker.
Wage Scale: $20.75 $24.41 per hour based on experience.
