Title Specialist I (Manheim)

Company: Cox Automotive – USA Job Title: Specialist I Job Family: Vehicle Operations Employment Level: Individual Contributor Work Option: Flexible (must work on specified Cox location – no remote option) Compensation: Hourly base pay ranging from $16.59 to $24.86 per hour, with potential for commission or incentive programs. Responsibilities Process and re‑assign vehicle titles for auction sales. Examine titles for accuracy and conformity to state requirements. Verify acceptance of titles in their respective states. Confirm VIN numbers, odometer readings, release of liens, and ensure titles contain no alterations. Assess title document negotiability and detect possible fraud. Report any title discrepancies. Resolve title issues by communicating with customers, dealers, and regulatory agencies. Collaborate with supervisors to negotiate price adjustments for title problems. Maintain knowledge of current DMV laws and state titling regulations. Route inbound calls to appropriate personnel and handle customer inquiries courteously. Run outstanding title reports and contact sellers regarding pending titles. Process sale‑day transactions using AS400 and provide customer service. Verify in‑lane purchases via DVR Access and add client information from Auction Access. Assist in day‑of settlement balancing. Ensure front counter coverage and demonstrate Cox customer‑service culture. Possibly work overtime (>40 hours/week) and travel per business needs. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Typically less than2years of related experience in the auction/automobile industry or at a DMV. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Effective communication skills. Strong problem‑solving and organizational abilities. Basic computer and software skills.
