About the Role

Selling "AI Agents" to a skeptic CIO is not about flashy slides; it’s about proving technical reality.

As our Founding Solutions Architect, you will be the technical conscience of our sales team. You will partner with our Account Executives to take complex, skeptical prospects (CIOs, VPs of Engineering, Data Architects) and turn them into believers.

This is a hands-on role. You won't just be answering RFPs. You will be rolling up your sleeves to execute Proof of Concepts (POCs). You will take a slice of a customer's messy legacy data (e.g., a COBOL extract or a tangled SQL schema), configure our agents to ingest and map it, and demonstrate a live, working solution in days, not months. You bridge the gap between "Sales Promise" and "Engineering Reality."

Responsibilities

• Own the Technical Win: Lead the technical discovery process. Deep dive into the prospect's current stack (Mainframes, SAP, Oracle, Snowflake) to understand their pain points and validate that Turgon is the right solution.
• Execute POCs: This is the heart of the role. You will configure and run live Proof of Concepts using customer data. You will set up the agents, run the migrations, troubleshoot issues on the fly, and present the results to the customer to prove ROI.
• Custom Demos: Build tailored demonstrations that speak directly to the customer’s specific use case (e.g., "Watch our agents map your Oracle General Ledger to Snowflake in real-time").
• Objection Handling: Field the hard questions from security and architecture teams. You need to confidently explain how our agents operate, how we handle PII, how we connect to their VPC, and why we are safer and faster than a human team.
• Product Feedback: You are the first line of defense. You will channel the friction you see in POCs back to the Product and Engineering teams to help prioritize the roadmap (e.g., "We need better support for DB2 dialects").

Requirements

• 6+ years of Sales Engineering or Solutions Architecture experience, preferably in Data Infrastructure, ETL/ELT, or highly technical B2B SaaS.
• Data Fluency: You speak SQL. You understand schemas, data lineage, and the difference between a data warehouse and a data lake. You can look at a messy CSV or a complex ERD and understand what the business logic is trying to do.
• Builder Mentality: You are comfortable getting your hands dirty. You know enough Python/Scripting to hack together a solution or troubleshoot a JSON payload during a live POC.
• Enterprise Polish: You can command a room of senior IT leaders. You can pivot from explaining high-level value to a CEO to debating API security with a CISO without missing a beat.
• The "Services" Nuance: You understand that we are selling an outcome (a migration), not just a tool. You can scope the technical complexity of a project to ensure we don't over-promise and under-deliver.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with legacy ERPs (SAP, Oracle EBS, NetSuite).
• Experience with modern data stacks (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt).
• Background in technical consulting or implementation.
