In this practice, board certification is required, with fellowship training preferred. However, physicians who are eligible for board certification are also welcome to apply. The facility prefers candidates licensed in Missouri but will consider those with licenses from other states participating in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications are required, with reimbursement for licensing costs not provided.

The locum will be responsible for covering ER, ICU, floor, and emergent cath lab services, with rounding duties conducted within the hospital. Call hours consist of 24-hour shifts, including weekends, with primary call responsibilities aimed at supporting existing surgeons.
