Home Care Aide / Direct Care Worker

Job Description

Joy’s Home Health Care LLC is looking for a compassionate and reliable Home Care Aide / Direct Care Worker to support an elderly client transitioning back home from an assisted living facility. This role involves assisting with personal care, meal preparation, mobility, medication reminders, and providing companionship to promote the client’s safety, comfort, and well-being during approximately 6-hour shifts. The client is partially independent and occasionally requires transportation assistance for errands or appointments.

Responsibilities

Assist with personal care tasks
Prepare meals and provide nutrition support
Support mobility and safe movement
Provide medication reminders
Offer companionship and emotional support
Monitor client safety and well-being
Perform light household tasks
Communicate regularly with family members
Document care activities accurately
Occasionally assist with transportation errands or appointments

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years experience in home care
CPR and First Aid certification
Skills in personal care, nutrition support, and mobility assistance
Knowledge of medication management and communication
Strong empathy and time management abilities
