Registered Nurse

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and provide education to patients and families. You will utilize evidence-based practices, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and uphold strict safety and infection-control standards. Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to diverse patient populations across medical-surgical and specialty units Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions Document care accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions to support optimal recovery Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to innovative approaches in patient care Support a culture of safety, diversity, and respect, modeling Mercy’s mission and values Essential Duties Patient assessment Care planning Medication administration Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation IV therapy and infusion management Wound care Vital signs monitoring and interpretation Care coordination and discharge planning Patient and family education Infection control procedures Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred, required for some units Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred for applicable specialties Specialty nursing certification (e.g., CCRN, CMSRN, CEN) a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
