Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Schedule: Straight Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend and Holiday, On Call per Unit Needs

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 6-8 weeks

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience
• High acuity unit experience, mentor or charge experience required
• BLS certification
• Unencumbered state RN License

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological health upon admission and throughout their hospital stay.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and monitor patient responses.
• Monitor vital signs and document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and families on managing conditions and preparing for discharge.

Compliance / Notes:

• On-call per unit needs; must be able to arrive within 1 hour if called in.
• 36 hours not guaranteed; potential low-census for up to 12 hours per 2-week pay period.
• Nurses may be required to handle complex patient needs, and must adhere to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment.
