Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The objective of a Shipping & Receiving Clerk is to perform warehouse activities such as tracking and maintaining inventory, shipping, receiving, disbursements, identification of parts, and supplies.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a manufacturing, warehouse, and shipping/receiving environment.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Regular exposure to forklifts, material handling equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Occasional overtime or flexible hours may be required to meet business needs.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Responsible for entering information in JD Edwards software system
• Responsible for performing all clerical functions related to the performance of job duties, including responding to all e-mail inquiries
• Demonstrate the ability to follow departmental objectives, processes and procedures
• Load, unload, and move material throughout warehouse areas
• Develop proficient use of equipment and lifting devices not limited to forklifts, lift trucks, flat bed carts, hoists, and other lifting devices
• Must be able to multi-task and meet all deadlines as assigned
• Ability to complete all other duties as assigned

• Possess the ability to read and understand both written and verbal instructions.
• Adhere to safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines
• Report problems with quality, processes, and materials to Group Lead/Supervisor
• Explores methods of improving efficiency, speed, and quality of work being done
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Must be able to work well with others
• Ability to operate barcode scanners
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
