Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Sales Associate to join our team! As a Sales Associate, you will assist customers with their project needs and ensure an excellent experience. Responsibilities include working the register, stocking shelves, processing inventory, and maintaining the store’s appearance. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in customer service and knowledge of cash register operation. 

Responsibilities 

• Work at a register to ring up and carry out customer sales.
• Collect payments by cash and credit card
• Issue receipts and refunds to customers
• Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
• Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.
• Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections. 
• Provide friendly service to customers in store, over the phone, and via online methods
• Ability to learn POS, flexibility to learn new systems as need be
• Checking in shipments from vendors, maintaining proper inventory counts in our POS
• Prepare the store for opening and/or closing each day- including daily and weekly cleaning tasks
• Delivering paint via company vehicle to clients as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
• Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
• Willingness to work well in a team environment
• Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
• Availability Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, Saturdays 8am-4pm. Guaranteed Sundays off
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. (cases of paint, 5-gallon buckets of paint, etc.)
• Able to be on your feet for 8-10 hours per day
• Clean Driving Record
• Ability to use technology as it relates to the business (POS, email communications, Benjamin Moore color software)
