Base pay range $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Sign-on bonus About Chemtek Chemtek, a family-owned business with a strong track record of innovation and customer service, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Associate to join our finance team in downtown Durham. This is a great opportunity for someone with 3–5 years of general accounting including sales tax, property tax, accounts receivable and accounts payable experience who is looking to grow within a stable, fast-paced company. We’re a close-knit team that values accuracy, teamwork, and follow-through. Responsibilities General Accounting Duties including managing A/R and A/P Manage Sales and Use Taxes across multiple states Supervise A/R Collections, Monitor and Authorize Credit Limits Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies Apply incoming payments and deposits accurately to customer accounts Assist with month-end reporting and general ledger entries Communicate with internal departments and customers to ensure timely billing and payment resolution Qualifications BS in Accounting or BBA in Business and Accounting 3–5 years of experience in General Accounting and Bookkeeping Familiarity with accounting software; Acumatica ERP experience is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication, customer service, and follow-up abilities Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities What We Offer Base salary: $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience $2,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with 2+ years of Acumatica ERP experience QESHRA Medical Insurance for employees and families 401(k) with company contribution Paid vacation, PTO and Sick Leave All Holidays plus 8 additional days off at Christmas Paid Covered Parking On-site role in the American Tobacco Campus – easy access to restaurants, entertainment, and covered parking Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Chemical Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Chemtek, Inc. by 2x Get notified about new Senior Staff Accountant jobs in Durham, NC. #J-18808-Ljbffr
