Creative Psychotherapist Location: Southampton Contract: Permanent - Term Time only Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum (FTE, DOE) Hours: 15 hours per week, flexible 2 days a week 08:30am-16:30pm Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle About the role We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join an established school with a friendly, multi-disciplinary in-house therapy team connected to a nationwide network of specialist therapists and leadership. We welcome applications specialised in trauma‑informed and neuro‑diversity affirming education and therapy. Responsibilities Work collaboratively to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs, autism, and associated learning and emotional needs. Implement a holistic therapeutic approach to help pupils in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy. Carry out specialist individual assessments and interventions, preparing relevant documentation, including writing reports. Work alongside the onsite clinical team to develop the clinical service provision, providing support and training to staff and parents. Maintain professional and regulatory guidelines, uphold a strong safeguarding culture, and involve pupils in decisions that affect them. Qualifications and Experience Appropriate psychotherapeutic qualification. Registered member of one or more of the following bodies: HCPC, BACP, BABCP, PTUK, NCPC, UKCP. Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities. Experience working with people with neurodivergence and/or complex needs (e.g., complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs). Ability to work independently under supervision. Experience with multi‑professional work teams or services within designated specialty. Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting.
