Secretarial SubstitutePosition Hours: Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Location: Cherry, South Ridge, Northeast Range, North Woods, or Tower Wage: $19.29/hr Benefits: Contingent upon the number of hours worked per week. Position Description: The St. Louis County School District is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Secretarial Substitutes to support the efficient operation of our school offices. This role is pivotal in maintaining daily administrative functions in the absence of regular staff. The position encompasses responsibilities at two levels, Site II and Site III, each with its own set of duties and requirements.Responsibilities:Site II:Perform receptionist workHandle and route records and responses to and from the schoolAssist in the management of student attendance records and required lunch programsUtilize and update information in Frontline and other computer systemsAssist in the maintenance of petty cash and student activity accountsSupply orderingMay assist the Health office assistant under the guidance of the Health Services DirectorComply with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and current educational regulationsFollow Right-to-Know, OSHA, ISD 2142 policies and procedures, and health/safety regulationsPerform other duties as assignedSite III:Perform receptionist workProcess incoming and outgoing mailHandle and route written records and responses to and from the schoolSupport the Site I and Site II Secretary with various reportingComply with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and current educational regulationsFollow Right-to-Know, OSHA, ISD 2142 policies and procedures, and health/safety regulationsPerform other duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:FlexibilityAdaptabilityConfidentialityProblem solving skillsExcellent communication skillsAbility to build relationships with children, parents and staff.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a secretarial, receptionist, or customer service role.Must pass a pre-employment background checkSt. Louis County Schools, ISD 2142 is an Equal Opportunity Employer
