Travel Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $2,686 per week

Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Bangor, Maine. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Asap start Mandatory 7p-730a General Information: Minimum years of experience? at least 2 years in Labor Delivery Will you accept a first-time traveler? No, must have completed at least 1 assignment at a facility comparable in size and acuity Level III NICU; Newborn Nursery Typically, will do 4 scheduled events daily (c-sections, versions, etc) Beds: OBED: 2 Triage rooms Labor Delivery: 7 labor rooms 2 triage rooms PreOp/PACU in Labor room (even pre-scheduled events) OR suites: 2 Postpartum/Antepartum/GYN/Mother-Baby: 25 could be overflow Antepartum that LD RNs monitor Covers a large geographical area tons of referrals (anything that will require NICU 1 of 2 NICU s in Maine) Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: PIH, GDM, Pre-Eclampsia, Eclampsia, HELLP, Shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage (assessed on admission, intrapartum, postpartum), multiples, fetal loss, drug addiction, cervical ripening Newborn care: if mother stays on unit for continuous surveillance (Mag x 24hrs), labor nurse would be responsible for documenting feeds and vitals and assessment for baby. Testing to be completed by Mother-Baby staff. Istat or bridge milk (PHDM) on babies usually done by core staff. Patient Ratios: Cervical Ripening: 1:1-3 Laboring: 1:1-3 Active Labor: 1:1 Couplet/Postpartum/Antepartum: 3 M/B couplets or 3 Antepartum/NICU moms Minimum staffing LD: 6 RNs Day and Night (goal) possibly 5, if there is a call out Required Certifications: RN: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate or Advanced FHM, MOAB CST: BLS, CST nationally certified Skills required: RN: titrate Pitocin, Fetal scalp electrodes, cervical exams, helps CRNA with epidural placement, management of insulin drips, magnesium drips, Shoulder dystocia, circulating c-section and/or receive baby in OR, neonatal resuscitation, assist with placement and monitor of IUPC; Newborn care to include: ability to provide lactation support, safe skin to skin protocol Support on the Unit: Unit secretary - Dayshift only Bed Flow Facilitator Dayshift only CST: (1) in house 24/7 Charge nurse: 24/7 coverage Phlebotomist will draw any subsequent labs needed after initial labs are drawn with IV placement Anesthesia available 24/7 House Supervisor, 24/7 RT, 24/7 OB Provider, 24/7 on call coverage Family Med will do OB rotations - residents have an attending for backup always that they can call and the residents are in house 24/7 Certified Midwife (Midlevel provider), may be on call at times but there is always back up for operative vaginal delivery or OR RN to catch baby/provide care at delivery Fetal monitoring Remote at bedside and nurses station Technology/Equipment: EMR: Cerner; fetal link IV pumps: Alaris Medication dispensing: Pyxis Fetal Monitoring: Fetal Link Floating: If yes, where?
