Pediatric Critical Care RN

Job description:

Registered Nurse – Pediatric Critical Care 
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Assignment Length: 10 weeks
Shift: Nights (3x12)
Weekly Hours : 36 hours

 

Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses for an 10-week travel assignment within the Critical Care Unit . The RN will deliver high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced clinical interventions .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients in high-acuity and critical care settings.
• Continuously monitor, assess, and respond promptly to changes in patients’ conditions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage ventilator support in collaboration with the care team.
• Educate and support patients’ families to promote understanding and emotional well-being.
• Float between hospital campuses as needed (Main, Avondale, Arrowhead).
• Ensure compliance with infection control practices, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

1. Active RN license (Arizona or C ompact State).
2. Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care RN experience; PediatricICUexperience strongly preferred.
3. Certifications: BLS (AHA), PALS and NRP are required.
4. Prior experience in Level III/IV NICU or Pediatric Critical Care highly desirable.
