Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Regional Director Correctional Healthcare to provide operational leadership and oversight for correctional healthcare services across assigned facilities. The Regional Director will serve as the primary regional management liaison and will be responsible for staffing, compliance, quality, contract performance, and overall operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary corporate and regional management liaison for assigned correctional healthcare contracts.
• Provide operational oversight for healthcare services at adult correctional and juvenile detention facilities.
• Monitor staffing levels, service delivery, quality, compliance, performance, and contractual requirements.
• Conduct facility visits and operational performance reviews.
• Collaborate with County representatives, facility administrators, and healthcare leadership.
• Support recruitment, retention, training, and workforce development initiatives.
• Assist facility leadership in resolving operational, staffing, clinical, and performance-related challenges.
• Ensure appropriate corporate resources are available to support successful contract performance.
• Support implementation, transition, and continuous improvement of healthcare programs.
• Monitor compliance with applicable regulations, contractual requirements, and accreditation standards.
• Identify operational risks and develop corrective and performance-improvement strategies.
• Promote effective coordination across medical, behavioral health, nursing, and dental services.
• Prepare and review operational reports, performance metrics, and contract deliverables.
Requirements
• MD, DO, PhD, PsyD, or other appropriate advanced behavioral health degree.
