Job Title: Injection Molding Machine Operator Job Description: The role: Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking an Injection Molding Machine Operator to join our team. The injection molding machine operator produces a variety of high-quality plastic components from resin pellets that are utilized by both internal and external customers. In this role you will perform a variety of tasks including monitoring and inspecting presses as well as performing second operations such as clipping, gating, or sorting following Standard Operating Procedures and high-quality standards. Hours for this position are 10PM-6AM Sunday-Friday. What You'll Do: Use different fixtures to verify that the dimensions of the molded parts are in accordance with quality and work order requirements. Perform different operations on molded products using a variety of cutting tools and techniques and by closely following standard operating procedures. Safely remove molded parts from the machine conveyor belt or robotic arm by using appropriate protective gear and handling tools. Place molded parts in designated cooling area to allow for controlled cooling processes. Carefully handle molded materials to the oven for baking process. Package finished orders in accordance with specifications, ensuring proper protection and handling. Use SAP and other electronic systems to find, record and generate documentation throughout the production process. Record all output and production data in ERP systems and maintain compliance with all online training and documentation requirements. Ensure product is consistent with established specifications through Camline software by utilizing different measuring tools, such as calipers and drop/height indicators. Escalate quality issues to supervisor or to quality department as appropriate. Ensure the highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality policy, ISO and/or other standards. Work with setup technician in the Injection molding department to troubleshoot issues with molding machines and implement any adjustments as needed. Collaborate with materials handler to ensure inventory replenishment of raw materials for molding machine. Finalize all required paperwork thoroughly and intimely (i.e. Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions etc.). Maintain accurate attribute/variable charts of rejected materials. Integrate on all key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality. Promote and implement use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities. Participate actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events etc. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Perform duties in a safe manner and observe approved safety procedures. Communicate potential hazards immediately to supervisor. Complete miscellaneous tasks assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals. Understand documentation (ASP, DWG, etc.) to ensure the production of quality parts. Utilize Stop Work Authority (SWA) for both Safety and Quality as needed. What We Seek: Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship. At least one (1) year of previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred. Ability to perform basic math calculations. Basic computer and data entry skills. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software is preferred. Great attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Proven ability to execute manufacturing processes within a tight tolerance. Understand documented processes and procedures. Must be able to stand and walk for 50% of the duration of the shift. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn at all times while on duty. This includes safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and high-visibility vests.
