Safety Manager

Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus The Axel Group is working with a premier general contractor in the Tarrant County area that is looking to add a Safety Manager to their award winning team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing company-wide safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This role partners with project teams, field staff, and leadership to maintain a strong safety culture, reduce incidents, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies, procedures, and training programs. Conduct regular jobsite inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards. Lead incident investigations, track safety metrics, and recommend corrective actions. Provide training and education programs for employees, subcontractors, and partners. Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to implement site-specific safety plans. Maintain accurate safety documentation and prepare required reports for internal and external stakeholders. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and manage compliance inspections. Promote a culture of safety through communication, recognition, and accountability. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered). 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in commercial or industrial sectors. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and best practices. Professional certifications (CHST, CSP, OSHA 500/510) strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence and engage teams at all levels of the organization.
