Director of Housekeeping and Maintenance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Housekeeping and Maintenance to join our team at Executive Search Network/Platinum Staffing. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the orderly functioning of all equipment in our facility, including the kitchen, laundry, heating, air conditioning, and elevators. You will also be responsible for purchasing necessary supplies for repairs, maintenance, and emergencies within budgetary guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the upkeep and functionality of all equipment in the facility

• Purchase necessary supplies for repairs, maintenance, and emergencies within budgetary guidelines

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for housekeeping and maintenance operations

• Ensure compliance with JCAHO, OBRA, OSHA, LSC, IDPH, and HFS regulations related to building design, maintenance, and equipment functioning

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff

• Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives

Requirements:

• High school diploma preferred

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, and heating and air-conditioning

• Licensure or certification in any of these areas is preferred

• Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine job duties

• Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting abilities

• Personable with residents, families, and staff in a professional and cooperative manner

• Compassion, tolerance, and understanding for the elderly

• Ability to lift, push, pull, move equipment, supplies, linens, etc. in excess of 50 pounds as required

• Availability to be on call seven days a week, 24 hours a day to troubleshoot in any and all kinds of emergencies or urgent issues

What We Offer:

• A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 annually
