Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years required License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Travel experience Description: CVICU experience is required. Travelers are allowed one call-out per contract. For a second call-out, proper documentation is needed and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. This is a community hospital and a regional referral center. It is a certified Chest Pain Center and has a Level III Trauma designation. The facility features 171 beds. The ICU/CVICU has 16 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2. The equipment includes Baxter pumps. The electronic health record system in use is Medhost. The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses and treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, and trauma. CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR may also be involved in patient care. This role may require floating to the Intermediate Care Unit or holding admissions in the emergency department as needed.
