Assistant Executive Housekeeper

Position Overview The Assistant Executive Housekeeper (AEH) is a second‑level manager who directs site housekeeping operations, ensuring quality standards and timeliness while supporting the Executive Housekeeper (EH). The AEH fully manages site operations in the EH’s absence, assists in meeting the site budget, and maintains positive relationships with clients and staff. Essential Functions Create and post schedules by 5:00PM every Thursday, assign daily tasks to housekeepers, housepersons, and supervisors, and adjust workloads as needed. Monitor daily work hours to ensure compliance with the budgeted hours. Operate in the EH’s absence, exemplifying urgency to turn units on time. Inspect rooms and common areas for cleanliness, and retrieve housekeepers for re‑cleaning as necessary. Conduct weekly report cards for housekeeping staff and MSI reports of supervisors. Foster an inclusive, engaging workplace culture and address associate concerns promptly. Provide ongoing performance feedback and enforce policies and procedures consistently. Coach housekeepers to meet productivity standards and assist in performance management, including counseling and potential discipline or termination. Conduct performance reviews and manage recurring schedules for MasterTalk and STS as per SOPs. Facilitate weekly training meetings with supervisors and monthly meetings with all staff; finalize the day in the Mastermind system. Interview, select, and onboard new team members; deliver 7‑Steps to Clean training within guidelines. Build rapport with resort management and attend resort meetings. Manage inventory, conduct weekly counts, procure order replenishments, and report unit maintenance issues. Maintain vehicle maintenance logs and resolve guest complaints promptly. Conduct safety meetings and enforce day‑to‑day safety rules and procedures. Handle workers’ compensation issues and reporting while working irregular hours. Adhere to Resort Operations 15 Non‑negotiables and use MasterMind Mobile to update room status for all housekeepers and supervisors. Perform additional duties as assigned. Experience and Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Two years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the position and a proven track record of driving strong performance and key field operations metrics. Language Skills Effective written and verbal English communication; bilingual Spanish a plus. Computer Skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Travel Rarely – on average 5% of travel on a quarterly basis. A valid driver’s license required for certain locations. Physical Requirements Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting up to 25lbs, bending, reaching, occasional ascending/descending, and repetitive motions.
