Inpatient Physical Therapist - PRN - Deer Valley

Day Shifts Minimum 12 shifts per quarter. Key Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based techniques (therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, functional mobility training, activities of daily living, modalities as indicated) and provide verbal/written instructions to patients, caregivers, and families. Maintain current knowledge of physical therapy techniques through continuing education, professional journals, and adherence to DNV and Medicare requirements. Evaluate patients per department policy, synthesize data to establish comprehensive, measurable treatment plans with defined discharge plans, and perform ongoing evaluation of response to treatment. Maintain accurate, current documentation in the patient’s medical record (evaluations, daily treatment notes, individual treatment plans, progress reports, discharge summaries, day patient charges). Complete billing and billing sheets per department procedures and financial stewardship practices. Confere with interdisciplinary team, consult with medical personnel, provide proactive feedback to case managers and other key personnel on discharge needs. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, committee meetings, in‑services, utilization review programs, student preceptor and mentorship programs. Provide supervisory duties: delegate patients to PTAs, supervise care, act as a resource for therapy-related issues, assist in process improvements, and recruitment/retention activities. Education & Credentials Required: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university approved by the APTA. Required: Master’s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited university approved by the APTA. Experience Preferred: 6 months recent experience in a network float position. Preferred: 6 months experience in physical therapy. Licenses & Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Required: Physical Therapist license – Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy or Compact License in good standing.
